Tetra Pond Medica Bacteria&Fungus¶Remedy for freshwater ornamental fish¶Tetra Pond Medica Bacteria & Fungus is a highly effective remedy for targeting bacterial infections caused by Pseudomonas, Aeromonas, Flexibacter, Edwardsiella, etc., as well as fungal diseases such as Saprolegnia or Achlya.¶Areas of application: Fungal diseases such as Saprolegnia or Achlya, or bacterial infections caused by Pseudomonas, Aeromonas, Flexibacter, Edwardsiella, etc.¶Disease symptoms: White, cotton wool-like patches, which spread across the fish body or fins, as well as loss of skin and scales, cracks, skin inflammation, wounds, crater-like cavities, overall darkening of the skin, fin rot or redness, as well as laboured breathing in some cases.¶Harmful to delicate plant species. Do not use Medica Bacteria & Fungus in conjunction with any other remedies. Change 50 % of the water if excessive amounts of the product are added to the pond. Any intense discolouration of the water is determined by the active ingredients. Try to avoid splashing, as the product solution can easily dye surrounding objects. Keep the product away from sunlight. Store the product in its original packaging. Do not store at temperatures above 25°C. For animal treatment only. Do not use the remedy once the expiry date has passed. Keep this remedy out of the reach and sight of children.¶Dosing instructions / method of application: If possible, the product should be administered at dusk or dawn, as the active ingredients may break down too quickly if exposed to strong UV rays. Shake the product well before use. For every 1,000 l of pond water, administer the product as follows: Day 1: 20 ml; Day 3: 15ml and Day 5: 15 ml. Dilute the specified amounts with pond water and then dispense them evenly across the pond’s surface. The entire treatment cycle lasts for 7 days. During treatment, please ensure that the pond is well aerated and do not use absorbent filter media (such as activated carbon, ion exchange resin, etc.) to filter the water. Switch off any UV clarifiers and ozone systems. On the eighth day, carry out a partial water change and, if possible, use activated carbon to filter the water. In the event that no improvement is seen after treatment, the whole process can be carried out again, once the water has been changed and filtered using activated carbon.
